Hi all, VixDev Here. I have decided to make a mini devlog with some small updates to show the progress being made on the equipment and some small problems.
New Illumination on the map
i know that a few months ago i showed the new lighting for the game, but some time ago i felt that the new lighting didn't fit in with a bad place where the feeling of shit and death lingers in the air. a lot of the old lighting gave a little bit of a feeling and when optimizing the lights and the map it lost that essence that it had. so while waiting for my animators to finish freeing up to do the game animations and final trailer i decided to make some small modifications. here you can see the new lighting.
Gameplay
We have made a lot of progress in gameplay by having a mini alpha with placeholder while me and the animation team make the game visuals for the final result.
(This is an inside joke of the team)
Delay of the game?
My estimated release date for the game was always March 22 (my birthday) on a whim of mine, but seeing how we are going I don't think I will be able to release it for those days, due to a big inconvenience I have had for months... the cutscene artists...
For months I have seen artists get into the project and do nothing and then leave it. this has made me tired for months and makes the game can not estimate a date. currently only one person is doing all the cutscenes of the game. but I do not think it will be something fast.
It's something I had to deal with a while ago and it's really stressful. I'm guessing that at the rate we're going the game could be released by mid to late this year.
this was the last thing that the last artist who participated in making the cutscenes sent me (it's literally the first frame of the cutscene...)
(If it doesn't come out by the end of the year I'll put it on hiatus).
