WARNING: I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, but there is a chance there could still be spoilers so I recommend you watch the episode first! ⚠

DISCLAIMER: Remember this is all my opinion so I would appreciate that you respect it even if your opinion is totally different to mine, In fact if it is I would like to hear your opinion because I think that everyone should be able to let their voice be heard! 💬

So let us begin!

BRIEF SUMMARY:

Furious Fu... OhHhHhhH, I woNdeR wHo is thE viLlain tHis timE?!?!?!

We start this episode with Marinette trying to calm all of the kwamis, and first of all I liked that we get to see more of the effect that being the guardian have on her day-to-day life and by seeing that it makes it feel more real, so I really loved seeing that! Anyway, the kwamis seem to be upset because Mari is going to meet with Fu, who is visiting Paris (with his now wife) Marianne. Anyone else think that, for them being mystical, millennia old, undying beings that they're quite childish? I get that the writers are trying to show that being the guardian is not a walk in the park, and that they are just experiencing the outside would for the first time in centuries but, I do find it a bit.... uncharacteristic considering that they know the consequences of being seen by the public eye...

They all resolve the situation with Marinette letting all but one of kwamis come with her, if they promised to not cause trouble. The one kwamit hat remained: Barkk stayed to make sure that there was no trouble at Mari's house, while Mari and all the other kwamis left.... And I understand why Mari gave in, she is new to her role and having over 10 voices childishly whining about wanting something would just about make me want to tear my hair out, so honestly her decision is quite relatable, especially for me who has several younger siblings!

So then we see Mari meeting Fu and Marianne at the train station, with someone... watching them from a garbage can.... how.... SUS.....

Later we see Marinette, Marianne and Fu together where they're all talking with one another and Wayzz, AKA the kwami that is supposed to be SMART waddling over to Fu's feet.... like I get that Fu was his holder but, as the kwami who is supposed to be the wise figure of them all is kind of an odd choice for the writers, seeing how he is supposed to be the wise figure of the kwamis, yet I kind of understand why considering Fu was his holder and best friend... Fu then notices Wayzz and picks him up, which frightens Marinette giving the excuse that it was a talking plushy, after Wayzz said the classic "He touched me!" line... It was nice to see Fu again and that he was doing well, even giving Mari a painting he created for her... I like that they didn't just forget about him and used him as a small side character, even if it is just this once....

After this we see Marinette back at home coming to find a mysterious man holding Barkk in one hand, and the miracle box in the other, asking whom she is, and why she has the Mother box?? Tikki then introduces him as Su Han the Celestial Guardian of the Miraculous.... and FYI one of the things I like about this episode is that we FINALLY got some more lore on the Miraculous, albeit only a little....

Then we see this Mysterious Su Han go on a rant telling her of the many rules Marinette has broken and altogether just being a jerk... I could tell at this point that this dude was not going to be a very likeable character, and that I would probably not like him in the slightest... Anyway he then realized that a few of the kwamis missing with Marinette then explaining that, Fu lost the peacock and the butterfly Miraculous (giving Su Han another thing to whine about) and then explaining that Plagg (who Su Han was worried about, and this time with good reason) was with his holder Chat Noir. Su Han then became infuriated that she did not know who the holder of the Black Cat Miraculous was, FINALLY SOMETHING I AGREE WITH!!!! Then stating that she was to bring him to Chat Noir immediately...

Once LB, Su Han and CN all arrive at the rooftops of Paris, Su Han insists for them to hand over their miraculous. In which results in Chat initiates a moment in which I really enjoyed, and that was probably one of my favorites of the episode, saying that the only person he will give his miraculous to is Ladybug and that she should trust herself as much as he trusts her... Beautiful, especially after now knowing what happens later in this season :(.... Su Han then demands LB to order CN to hand over his miraculous, clearly getting impatient with waiting, just like how I was becoming impatient with Su Han himself. (you probably can tell at this point that I really don't like this guy) Su Han also demands for LB to renounce the Miracle Box, which Chat then comes to the realization that if LB renounces the Box she won't remember anything... even Chat Noir...... which at that he states that if Su Han wants their miraculous, he'd have to come and get it!

So the battle ensues, yet Su Han beat LB & CN like flies.... eventually LB tricks Su Han using her bug phone and a movie containing a knight challenging someone to battle (earlier Su Han was confused seeing the movie on in Mari's room so uh yeah...) distracting Su Han and giving LB & CN the opportunity to crush the chimney Su Han was near and taking his staff, and then they fled.....

Su Han then gets angry, aaaaand it's Hawkie Time!

Without his staff Su Han cannot track the Miracle Box, so in turn he couldn't track our heroes.... so he goes to his failed student Fu, whom he tries to take his cane (which also has a Miracle Box tracker) but then is frightened by the akuma coming his way, but then backs away stating that his anger his and he is not his anger... Great message y'all!!! Wizest thing he has said all day!!!

Once the akuma retreated he struggled with Fu to take his cane, with Fu visibly upset thus, giving the akuma an new opportunity...

So Fu gets akumatized.... Surprise, Surprise!!!!

Su Han who was able to get the cane continued tracking LB & CN...

Meanwhile at the soccer/football arena LB & CN are contemplating where to hide when they're interrupted by Su Han who found them, demanding to be handed the Miraculous & Miracle Box.... But they were then interrupted by Furious Fu who caused a magical lighting storm causing them to all sprint around the field!

LB & CN were trying to protect the miracle box and ended up kicking around the box like a ball trying to avoid both Fu and Su, ultimately Fu got the box and Su Han (being the baby he is) hid like a coward... Both LB & CN continued fighting Furious Fu, while Su Han, once again was complaining... and at that CN demands for him to try and help, which he does, but then is frozen by Fu's power.... LOL....

So LB ends the fight by calling Marianne and causing Her CN and Fu to be all tangled up so no one could do anything while Marianne (who had arrived at that point) took the akumatized object and destroyed it!... This akuma fight was decent, I mean they didn't have too much time left in the episode, and I liked the soccer/football reference and the way the heroes dealt with Fu. I liked how LB & CN didn't focus on trying to defeat the villain, but instead just tried to not get beaten themselves.... I also liked how the battle had 3 sides to it as well!

So after LB gives Fu his magical charm she is in her room with Su Han, whom instead of whining like usual tells her that he IS in fact surprised with how well she was able to do her job, saying that she can keep the miraculous and the box, but ONE slip up and she is done.... and that's the end of the episode... and it was decent... I don't like the vibe of Su Han just appearing to whine and then get persuaded so easily and just up and leave, like c'mon he isn't even trying to help... I actually hate this man with a passion!!!

I did find this episode to be a bit bland, and it didn't really change much and just introduced a whiny old man..... XD

ANIMATION:

The animation in this episode was pretty decent, the movement was pretty great as well as the lighting. I didn't notice any visible problems except for when Shadow Moth closes his window at the end it looks like he is juts pasted on the background when he was zoomed in on, but other than that the animation was fine....

VERDICT:

This episode was a filler yes, but filler doesn't mean bad... And while this episode wasn't bad, it was just good, not an episode I would actively try to re-watch or remember very well! The episode had it's moments and it was nice to see Fu again and the akuma battle was pretty nice as well, although I wasn't the biggest fan to how they introduced Su Han and while very (very, very) few of his accusations were right, for the leader of the guardians he was kind of a useless brat. I'm fine with a strict/harsh mentor figure, as long as they are fair as well and don't whine like Su Han did.... The animation was nice and had very few noticeable errors or weird movement and lighting issues!

Overall this episode was.... decent..... I would've liked to have more humor or some more interesting content, and while it was a bit of a more boring episode it was altogether a decent yet also weak filler!

CONCLUSION:

While this episode was somewhat weak, it was still a nice change of pace in comparison to the episodes before this one. And even though this episode wasn't great it was still good, just one of the weaker ones this season....
