The Godcats and Peaks heard the explosion. It resonated for miles around; the death of a species.
The sky looked cracked, and the sun turned a dark blue for a while.
That day became known as The Night Of The Shattered Sky, or The Day Of The Blue Sun.
Both are accurate. That Time The World Almost Ended makes sense too, but, regardless.
Anyway, all three of those things were pretty noticeable, so the Peaks sent The Godcats and a few of their own soldiers to see what the hell was going on.
The group wandered through the ruins of what was once the Ice Cream Sandwich Village. No one spoke, as a grim aura of dread and grief settled around the group.
So, it gave Aurora a chance to think.
What happened here? Does it have to do with The Orb? Or maybe-
You have failed. You never stopped the war, now both the kings are dead, The Orb is gone, and The Ice Cream Sandwiches are extinct.
And it's all you, the Godcats’, fault.
What have you done?
Aurora’s head hurt, and her eyes burned with tears. She had failed to save them.
She looked around the charred ruins of the once beautiful village, the wood, stone, and hay houses and buildings decrepit ruins almost beyond recognition.
The bodies of The Ice Cream Sandwiches themselves littered the shattered streets, the air suffocating and choked smoke; smothered in the vile, intoxicating aroma of burnt chocolate, fluff, and corpses.
And it's all my fault. I caused this.
So now I have to fix it.

Finally, they made it to the crater. They were so close to the center of the damage, the surrounding landscape was an unfamiliar, unrecognizable skeleton of its former self.
Aurora never expected to find anyone or anything left in the crater, but to her and the others' surprise, The Sown were there, in a small circle in the middle. They were alive.
They looked up at the others as they walked towards the crater.
“Oh, they’ve come to save us!” said one of The Sown.
“No. They were the ones that did this,” Needler responded.
Before anyone could ask what that meant, the other Godcats arrived.
“Are you guys okay? We’ve come here to….”
“To do what? Further ruin us? All of this was all your doing, you caused this! All of this is your fault!”
It’s all your fault…
“He’s right. This is our fault. We were the ones who first mentioned The Orb, we let someone tell King Choco before we could clear things up. We fought the war against each other rather than work together to stop. Instead of helping the Villages, we destroyed them. We couldn’t save them. I couldn’t save them,” Aurora said.
One of The Sown scoffed and muttered, “Well, it’s true.”
Bluespark said, “Wait, Aurora, what do you mean you couldn’t save them?”
Oh, I guess I better tell them about my visions, the mysterious voice’s ominous warnings, and all the other stuff I’ve been keeping from all the others, she thought.
“The thing is, I–” Her voice cracked. “I’ve been having…”
A noise like a giant roar reverberated through the sky. Then, it split into something more like the sound of a thousand voices screaming, but warped as if their cries were lost in the winds.
“What the hell is happening?”
Everyone looked up at the sky, and saw that the rupture (you know, the one from The Orb), was expanding. Then, it seemed to explode, collapsing in on itself, all the cosmic energy being compressed and twisted with unimaginable force.
Everything became a blinding white, the temperature skyrocketed at an impossible velocity. It felt like being plunged into the sun. And then it stopped.
All that was left was a bright, swirling, and chaotic hole in the sky, it rumbled and thundered, spun and crackled. Giant chains seemingly coming from the inside of it wrapped around the base of it, and dangled only a few hundred feet above the ground.
It was the Dimensional Rift, the gateway to the other worlds, a portal that led to an absolute infinity of places and realities.
And it meant the end of everything as the plushies knew it.
