Moving platforms and jump pads!

Today, I’ve added some new blocks to the game that are much more interesting than the boring, static platforms and open the possibility to create better levels!

Dynamic Platforms

It has been proven that static levels are boring. Really boring. That’s why I added moving platforms, they make the level feel much more alive.

Jump Pads

Sometimes just pressing a key to jump isn’t enough. Jumps pads (formerly “Trampolines”) add a different way to jump, and they can take you much higher!

A small bonus!

You may have noticed some new stuff besides what I mentioned. There are 2 different colors of pickup cubes. Yes, I’m planning to add different types of pickups: so far, yellow cubes give 1 point and red cubes give 10 points, but powerups are planned, and who knows what else… Also, I’ve added a small info text telling the player to press escape to quit. By default, Unity doesn’t have such thing, so you need to use complex shortcuts like Alt+F4, but not everyone knows these shortcuts, so now the instruction is very clear.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

I was bored, so... ManutKat.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist
