The have been working on multiplayer using the server-client model for it. I have also decided that the server program should not need to run on windows. Though it is still A prototype so I may change my mind on that. The features list below can always change too.
Features
Up to 12 players run stably and up to A maximum of 48 players but I can't be sure how well that would run.
Runs on connections as slow as 120/kbs
Custom maps up to 256x256 maps maps bigger can be used
Can block and kick troublesome players
Notes
The connection speed which the server can run at depends on the number of players and number of spawned objects and somewhat on size of map
Maps larger than 256x256 can create A noticeable slowdown when connecting to the server
If A player is not logged into GJ you can only blocked them by name If they are logged in there blocked by user id
I intend to release the multiplayer test within the week. Hopefully the multiplayer is not that buggy.
