Q1: Who do you play as?

A1: You play as phone guy, as proven in the Night 3 phone call where the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment Wathel Brokie offers to pay you to record springlock training tapes, most likely being the ones that we hear in FNaF 3.

Q2: When does the game take place?

A2: The game takes place in 1983, as confirmed on the paycheck after beating Night 6.

Q3: What project is William referring to in the Pre-Night phone calls?

A3: William is referring to Circus Baby’s Pizza World. This is all but confirmed when we see Circus Baby in the Post-Night 5, and we also know that Circus Baby’s Pizza World opens up sometime around 1983 in the FNaF lore (or at least older interpretations of it).

Q4: Who is watching us in the Post-Night 4 cutscene?

A4: I personally believe the player is being watched by William Afton, as I don’t really know why anyone else besides him would be watching.

Q5: Who is inside Fredbear 2.0?

A5: It can’t be Cassidy, as we know from the Post-Night 6 cutscene that Charlie is the first victim of William. However, I believe the game actually shows us this answer, in none other than the opening cutscene. In the cutscene, you’re clearly in a Fredbear suit, and even though Fredbear 1.0 isn’t seen on the stage from the point of view, he is later seen to not be haunted, leaving Fredbear 2.0 to be the only possible suit for the person to be wearing (Spring Bonnie 2.0 has a smaller muzzle, so it couldn’t be them either). I’m also assuming whoever is in the suit in the cutscene dies, due the saferoom door being shut on them and the screen fading to black.

Q6: Who is wearing the suit in the opening cutscene?

A6: I’m actually not sure at the moment. I’d have to do more digging before coming a conclusion. Whoever they are though, they’re probably pretty important.

Anyway that’s all I got right now. I’ve just been really loving the mysterious story of this game and I’m super bored .-. Let me know if y’all have any other theories or secrets that I missed!

FIRST EDIT: (Instead of doing a QnA format for theories, I’ll just make a list instead from this point forward). After watching a nice theory/ summary video from Kraiten on the game (https://youtu.be/mWnnr8EeOTg), I’ve made some more observations about the story. 1: The Shadow animatronics exist at this point in the story, meaning two individuals must must have died in springlock suits beforehand. 2: William is almost definitely controlling all of the animatronics except for the puppet. 3: The puppet is most likely just malfunctioning and not possessed/controlled, due to the fact that not only does it not kill you, but since it was made be Henry exclusively, William probably wouldn’t be able to control it. That’s all for now. I’ll keep thinking about everything tonight, and hopefully I’ll find more out tomorrow.
