My mom just sent me this and it's of my dog, Sam. She sadly passed away a few years ago and shortly after her passing I lost my great grandma as well so those were really hard to deal with. I still miss them but that's okay. It's okay to grieve, to be sad


I miss my dog and I miss the family I have lost but I know it's okay to be sad, to miss them because it isn't stupid to grieve. I may grieve for years and that is fine. Loosing someone special in your life can be horrible and you should be allowed to miss them for as long as you want.

I am lucky to have both my great grandma's as well as my dogs ashes, that way I always have them with me. But some people don't get that and they shouldn't be criticized or belittled over their sorrows. Loosing people or even pets hurts, it always will. It's okay to hurt, it's okay to be sad. Man or woman, you should be able to cry and grieve over those you loved. Remember that.

And Rip my great grandmother who was such a kind woman, I miss you both.
