In this AU, the barrier essentially pumps out all the positive emotions from the monsters for its existence. Because of this, most of the monsters are even more lethargic and sad than in the original Negatale.

CHARACTERS

Frisk: Almost no different from the original (Besides the fact that he's a man).

Asriel and Muffet: A married royal couple who moved from the New House to the Ruins. Playing the role of Toriel. The royal family itself is trying by any means to return positive energy to all monsters and destroy the barrier (even if they are not very humane).

Sans: Pretty sad dude. He tries to cheer up and support everyone, especially his brother, with puns, which doesn’t work out very well. On the path of the pacifist, after meeting Frisk, he becomes his companion and friend until the last corridor.

Papyrus: One of the most depressed monsters in the dungeon. He was a member of the royal guard, but after one accident, he almost stopped leaving his house, doing only cleaning and cooking.

Napstablook: punk ghost who constantly hangs out in the Ruins. His music constantly disturbs everyone's sleep. Also, ghosts are not affected by the barrier.

Undyne: lazy head of the royal guard. She does not really like to fulfill his duties and rarely fulfills them. In most cases, she rests in his home or in the house of Skelebros.

Alphys: cheerful royal scientist. Thanks to experiments on positive energy, she became more cheerful in comparison with other monsters.

Mettaton: robot created to entertain people. Hates his EX form and is almost always in box form. If he takes on his EX form, he becomes much more aggressive and angrier.

Toriel and Asgore: Depressed king and queen ruling the underworld together. They are the end bosses on pacifist and neutral. Before the battle, Toriel gives Frisk a blueberry snack for an equal victory. Asgore, instead of a trident, a staff with positive energy.

Chara: Adopted demon daughter of the Dreemurrs, created thanks to Gaster's expertise on the human soul and negative energy. Takes a different form when feeling very sad. (and yes, she is a woman)

The Sin: An intangible entity created thanks to the barrier, wanting to kill all the weak in its path. Appears at the Genocide after the Ruin and takes over Frisk's body.
