My theory on why only Sans dodges your attacks in Undertale (spoilers for Undertale)

As you may know from Undertale's Genocide route, when you arrive at judgement hall/the final corridor, you'll meet Sans as usual. If you've stuck to the Genocide route and haven't aborted to this point, you will be forced to fight him.

Sans attacks first in the battle, and once it's your turn, you FIGHT to get his HP down... Only for him to move out of the way. This would come as a surprise to new players of the game, however I randomly though of something interesting today...

What if Sans is lying about being lazy, and he has a lot more "energy" than any monster in the background? (This theoretical "energy" would be used up by attacks they use and dodging.) Sans is the only monster that breaks a sweat during his fight, and he dodges every hit... But what if dodging takes a lot of energy the other monsters can't waste, as they need it to attack?

You might of heard the saying "If you're strong, pretend you're weak. If you're weak, pretend you're strong." I believe that is what Sans does throughout the game, making the Player think he's too lazy to fight so you underestimate him in Genocide and gives him a better chance at beating you, if only a small chance at that.

Tell me what you think though... Could I be right?
