I am referring to the book "Lolita" which has been misinterpreted on extreme levels...
The writing of the book makes the protagonist seem normal at first, and the reader may sympthasise with him...
However, as the book progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore the true darkness of his character.
It serves as commentary on how we are manipulated so easily by charm...how even the most seemingly respectable individuals can have truly twisted desires.
And ultimately, it is a warning...to never judge a book by it's cover. To never overlook the darker truths hidden beneath the surface...
This book's intended message, is the reason why I do not fully trust any of you. Because anyone could be something unspeakably evil.
