New Build: Beat that.


Let me take a moment to appologize for the drop in update frequency. I work two jobs that are pretty halloween centric so the last week has been mad busy for me. Now I’m suddenly in the off-season and my other job was seasonal so I’ve got a lot of time now. Let’s do this!

But anywho…

The new build features online highscores, the top five are displayed for all to see on the game’s menu screen (in the text scroll.) It also displays your own best highscores so you can compare where you stand agaisnt the best. Eventually I’d like to find the best highscore and pull data from the table of your nearest competitors, but I’m still not sure if it’s implementable.

There may be some data wipes as far as highscores go if there’s a major change to the game, as that would imbalance scoring and old scores might be hgiher (reflectign an easier game.) I’ll try to keep them to a minimum and once I say the game is ‘finished’ there will be no more wipes.

Next up: overhauling powerup selection and collection as well as new gameflow between waves.
