Hey I started this game about a week ago and I couldn’t wait to start posting and talking about it! I came up with the concept for a design class and thought it was a good idea so I decided to use it for my final project. It has a basic shape theme and I was originally thinking of Sonic, but as the game is developing I realize it’s more like Donkey Kong, I also have influences from Super Meat Boy in that it will feature obstacles more than enemies and I want my levels to be really hard which seems to be the trend for platformers today. I’m using the Unreal Blueprint system, I was not a fan, but getting the hang of it, I made a custom Game Interface which makes creating Global Variables a cinch! Also using widgets and bindings for GUI is pretty easy too! I’m almost done all my game functionality I have to just finish my menu system and then I’ll be making the levels and some comics for the story. I have a couple more weeks to make this should be posting something playable soon!
