I have completely reworked the movement system. It's now a lot better and it's fully physics based.
I used Dani's character movement script, and slightly modified it to fit with my game.
This has also allowed me to improve the overall physics and interactions with other objects.
There is also a new mechanic introduced...
It's sliding. Not normal crouching, but you actually have to build up speed to slide far enouhg.
This can be used to go through small spaces which adds depth to the game.
I've also improved the game's graphics. I made higher quality textures, improved particle effects, improved post-processing (reduced bloom, added motion blur, etc.), fixed a few graphical bugs and added details that make the game look better.
I might make a comparison video in the future!
I'm feeling good about updating Dead basement so far, it's going well, but there's still a long way to go.
