New update after a long break!


Baldi 7.0 – Update Log 🎉

Finally! After my break since August 17th, I’m back. Thank you for your patience—I really enjoy making updates for Baldi 7.0 and I’m happy to bring you something new!

This update also moves the game to Unity 6.2. It doesn’t really change anything for you, but for me… let’s just say my new build times are 50 minutes to 1 hour 💀 (the library folder got corrupted). Anyway, let’s focus on what’s new:

🆕 Additions

🥤 New Items (credits to JibJabz and kostyagames for the ideas):

  • Cherry Bsoda (from BB+ Times):
    Works differently than a normal Bsoda. When used, it bounces off walls and can trap NPCs for 30 seconds unless they escape. ⚠️ Be careful—it can bounce back to you, and if it does, it’s game over!

  • Super Bsoda:
    Just like a normal Bsoda, but much faster—basically a “Sonic Bsoda”! Be cautious in short hallways though, because it might backfire if you’re not careful.

🏫 New Education Activity Classroom:

  • Match Machine (from BB+ 0.12):
    Appears on Floor 3.

    • The goal is to find balloons that match each other (like a memory card game).

    • Example: If the first balloon shows “4,” you must find the other balloon that has “4.”

    • Unlimited mistakes are allowed, but each wrong choice makes Baldi angrier.

    • Every correct match makes Baldi happy for 5 seconds.

    • Complete all matches and you’ll earn a Notebook as a reward!

📝 Other Additions:

  • Added a message box when trying to publish a level without a GameJolt account.
    (Reminder: a GameJolt account is required to publish levels to prevent fake names.)

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • None this time! (Or maybe you’ll find some 😅) This is the first update ever without bug fixes, so enjoy it while it lasts.

🔧 Dev Note

I really hope Unity stops increasing my build times. Spending nearly an hour just compiling shaders feels like a waste of time—I’d rather be making new features for you guys.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
