News Update: Dev Name & Game Progress

As you may have noticed, the work on Illumination has been pretty much quiet for the last month or so. I appologize.

Today, I started working on the code, or rather was following along in the XNA tutorial and got stuck. But thanks to a fellow dev, Aidan, I was able to overcome this problem.

I believe sometime this upcoming weekend I should be able to work on the code more and more.

So, be expecting work on the game to come in updates more and more frequently as I add features and what not.

As you all may or may not of noticed, I changed my Dev Group name recently— today in fact— to Classic Hiro Games and this change has really boosted my drive to get this thing up off the concept table and into game code language!

Be on the lookout this next week and the one after for updates to the game!

Jeyson of Classic Hiro Games, is OUT for now!

Catch you all later!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)
