Hello everyone! It's officially been 1 year since we revealed GD Nexitron as "Project: N." And it's officially been one year since this huge game has been in development! I would like to thank everyone for their support for the project and the tech demo! It's been a wild ride. But let's get down to business!
The Absence
I firstly wanna start off with an apology for the lack of Devlogs. These last few months have been quite chaotic behind the scenes. But nonetheless, I've still managed and am working hard to provide an awesome experience for everyone to enjoy! It's gonna be a while before a true demo is out, but I still wanna aim for a Spring 2024 Release! I want you guys to play the latest considering the fact that the tech Demo is going to be outdated in a bit. But we're slowly making progress to getting this demo out! Stay tuned!
The 1 Year Gameplay Trailer
That is right, if you saw on Youtube, we have a Gameplay trailer up! It's been in the works for the past few days. I wanted to show something worth showing. And I must say, the first level of Nexitron is a special one that I am personally really proud with! At the moment, it's 60% done. And I had originally planned to show off the whole level, but unfortunately, time had different plans. And what is shown is what is currently done. Hopefully sometime soon I can show off the rest, because the plans for it are really awesome! But we will get there when we get there. Hope you all enjoyed it!
Here's the link if you haven't seen it quite yet!
These Few Month's Additions
Much of the work has been put into the art and the levels. The first level of the game has had the most work! The RPG Game has been in a bit of a stagnant position. The art, Cutscenes, and the levels, are the main things that need to be made before we even consider a demo! Especially art. A ton of the levels still use placeholders. Will be working on it soon!
Returning Levels?
As of now, "The Lost Levels" collection of levels, will not be returning to GDN. This is because all songs used are not usable in Geometry Dash through either the Music Library or Newgrounds. There is the possibility of some getting remakes in the future, if any of the artists are added. But for now, there is no plans to bring them back. They are called "Lost Levels" for a reason after all! BUT. If it does make you feel better. Thanks to the addition of Camellia to the Song Library, some cut levels from the First Iteration of the Soundtrack can, and will, be added back into the Latest iteration! Very excited about this, as there were some songs I wanted to use from him in the first version, that I couldn't do in the final version until now!
Well that's all I got time for today. Thank you all so much for the support! I have been working hard on not 1, or 2, but 3 whole projects, and it's been tough!! Hoping I can get this all out to you guys soon. I love seeing the Gameplay videos! Stay tuned for more updates and Monthly Devlogs in the future!
