Hey everyone! This month is it! The launch month of the big update we have all been waiting for! This is exciting news for both the project, and Geometry Dash itself! A lot has been going on behind the scenes, and I have been trying my best to make sure this game is ready for anything! And I gotta say, looking at what's done so far, this month might be packed with stuff! Let's get into what's been happening.

Update 2.2

The delay was unexpected, but thankfully did not ruin any plans so far. I personally had a feeling it would happen, so seeing it come to reality was not that big of a surprise to me. However, with the release of the upcoming update, we can finally work on the main part of this project that everyone is looking forward to the most! And that's the levels! Once update 2.2 is released, we can finally start developing the levels and putting them into the levels. This is super exciting and I'm looking forward to developing them! That being said, let's discuss some things that have been added this past month!

This Month's Additions

This month believe it or not has been jam packed with brand new things! Despite the fact that last month and this month will be a hassle to deal with, I can assure you I am trying my best to add anything and everything I can! Here's what I got:

New Collectibles: Photo Gallery!

This is something I've been wanting to add for a while, and actually ended up finding one this month! I've implemented a few already, and plan to have them be unlocked through both the progress of the story, and secrets! Mainly through story progress though. It's a fun feature and I plan to implement a few Behind the Scenes photos, and "In Universe" photos and art! Pretty fun addition if you ask me!

New Art

I finally have made more art and adjusted a few other art assets! The hills now have a checkerboard design, its very different from the demo's wavy design, but this was implemented to make some animations easier to make, and to create a more pleasing to the eye design. I also did this to be closer to finishing some of the earlier parts of the game. The first half of the game, in terms of game play, is pretty much done! The art is the only thing not completely finished. It will get finished soon enough though! More on that later.

SHOPS:

This is a feature I've been dying to finally complete for a while, and I finally have it implemented! It took a whole day to get it functioning properly and I can safely say it works now! Above is a first look at the Shopkeepers shop! The first shop you can encounter! Things will be adjusted overtime like items and prices. But everything as of now works well and should be ready in time for the demo! Wait... Demo???

A FULL DEMO???

That's right everyone! A Demo! If you've been following these deadlines, I have had my eyes set on a demo to release in November, and I think we're rather close to one! As I said before, the first half of the game is complete. The only thing that needs to be done is the art, which is not done yet. However, it can be quickly added in! And should be fairly quick to add the finalized art. That being said. Looking at what we've got going ahead, I have an estimate to finish this demo by Mid-End November, or early December! This demo will contain the first 2 Main Levels from the full version, as well as some Platformer levels scattered around. This will not be like "The Lost Levels Tech Demo." As this will be an Official Demo, and will feature the actual levels that will be in the full game! Pretty exciting huh? I hope I can get this demo out as quick as possible. The latest this demo would release would be Early to Mid December to my guess. Please realize that this is NOT me giving out an Official release date, as I am just making an estimate. Nothing is quite confirmed yet! But realize that this demo might happen sooner than you think depending on how things go!

Well that's all I've got time to talk about today! 2.2 can literally come out any day now (for real this time lol) and I can't wait to jump further into this project. I'm doing my best to give you all a fan project you've never seen before! Hope you all had a good Halloween! Stay tuned for more updates and Monthly Devlogs in the future!
