HAPPY FEBRUARY EVERYONE!! This devlog has been surprisingly anticipated... And for good reason! We have a lot to talk about in relation to whats to come for Nexitron for this month, as well as the development of Chapter Two! Well, let's not waste any time, let's jump right into it!
Patch Update 1.3 coming THIS MONTH!!!
That's right! If you didn't see the newly released trailer from today, we're releasing a "Gift Patch" Update for Nexitron! 
If you aren't familiar with what our term "Gift Patch" is, it's a patch update for a game that comes with a gift as compensation for any wrong doings that may happen because of it! For nexitrons' case... It's save files..
That's right. With this new update, means that save files will not be transferable once again... BUT. This will be the LAST UPDATE that makes this a issue. The reason we're releasing this update before Chapter 2, is so that you guys CAN transfer your save files! With Patch Update 1.3, your newly made save files will finally work and transfer over to Chapter Two/Update 2.0! How exciting!
Now... I'm sure you guys want to know what comes in this update, well... Let's talk about it!

New Feature: The Logbook!
We added a bestiary in Nexitron! That's right. Throughout your playthrough, you'll be able to log not only enemies you encounter, but items, armor, and special characters! This feature was also kind of the main reason I wanted to release a patch update. New plugins cause an old save file to not save, and I REALLY wanted to add a bestiary after playing Hytale and messing with the Memory mechanic from that game. Sooo, you guys can thank Hytale for getting new Nexitron Content!
This feature is very cool though, and I've had a blast trying to collect everything from Chapter One! It's a very small but fun feature that I'm sure you guys are going to love!

New Quality of Life changes!
There are SO many Quality of Life changes added into Nexitron. For example... The new "Retry feature!" If you lose a battle, you can now spend 50 orbs to retry it from the beginning! Awesome right? And don't worry about orbs, we've increased the amount you get in all aspects! From enemies to chests! Other QOL include Technical changes, balancing changes, and "side progression" changes. Just a bunch of changes I'm sure many will love!


New designed World Map!
This was kind of the big main piece of the update. I'm so glad I got around to finishing it! Welcome to the newly designed WORLD MAP!!!! The map is designed around "The Map" that's soon to come in Geometry Dash 2.21! The old map was the way it was out of 2 reasons, running out of time, and a little laziness LOL. With the recently added "Pixel Perfect" Setting in the options, the old world map looked HORRIBLE to look at with that setting on. With this new map, it definitely looks WAY better! And not only that.. It matches with the rest of the game's style now! I hope you all enjoy walking around it as much as I do!

Many other new changes!
I don't wanna spoil everything, but a ton of tiny things have been added and changed as well! Such as:
THE FIRST PLATFORMER LEVEL!!! "The Deep Forest"
New Animations & remade cutscenes (as seen above!)
New portrait faces for dialogue
New Voice Sounds for some characters
Slightly Updated Chapter 1 Locations
(Almost) All 2.2 Fonts (that the game engine would allow).
TONS of Bug Fixes
Updated Manual & Creator Folder
and so much more!!

Well that's all I am willing to say. You can discover everything for yourself when the update releases later this month!! When is that you ask? Well...
Sooner than you think!! The Patch Update for 1.3 will release on FEBRUARY 15TH!! It was originally intended for the 14th, but then I remembered that that day was Valentines Day! No holiday launches for us! It's also GD Awards day! I wanted to make sure the day was clear and nothing took it away from the spotlight. Can't wait to finally release this update! It's been super fun working on it! And I can't wait for you guys to play it too!

This Month's Additions
I teased a few things about Chapter 2's development over on the GRIMKITTY Discord (Join it here!) but it's time to finally reveal what's been going on behind the scenes!

The Toxic Factory
Yes. This is THAT Toxic Factory! Delve into the depths of the Toxic Factory, once only barely explored in Geometry Dash: World. Uncover new characters, escape baddies, and try your best to escape in one piece!
This map has been my favorite to design next to Nexitron City. A lot has been developed so far! If you couldn't tell, it looks more like a "Water Factory" than a "Toxic Factory". That's because we're still working on it! As you've probably heard a million times: "Game Development takes time." And trust me... It DOES!! But rest assured, we're getting work done, and done fast!

Playtesting and Chapter 2 Story first impressions.
I recently had my playtester (who was testing out 1.3 at the time) also test out the first half of Chapter Two! His response... Extremely positive!! He was super excited about the twist reveal at the end of the first half, and he's super hooked and ready to see what's next! Wonder what it could be.... 
He also had tons of fun walking around in Nexitron City. Of course, Chapter 2 is FILLED with many bugs, as it hasn't been properly balanced or polished. But even in its unfinished state, he had a really fun time with it! And I couldn't be happier!! I'm so excited to wrap up the chapter (hopefully within the next couple of months) and I'm so ready for people to play not only the RPG, but the levels too!! We gotta get to Chapter 3 quick. It has the best levels in the game.. 
What's next?
Well, After 1.3, we're gonna be going back to work on Chapter 2. First, finish the RPG, then, start on the levels! After that, wrap everything together in a nice bow, and push it out to publish!! Let's hope we can make this happen before GTA 6!! 
I wish I could share so much more, but alas, secrets still need to be kept..

Game dev takes time, and doing it practically solo for such a giant scale project isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world! Can't wait to share more with you all soon!
