First of all, I can't stress enough how incredible you all are for getting the game this far, y'all are the best!

Making Chikn Nuggit related content is an absolute blast. I would love to make more games about Chikn and his friends, and I have definitely thought about making more Night at Nuggit's content specifically.

But... what if I told you, I already have been working on a Night at Nuggit's side game?

This is Dweadful Dinin'.

Dweadful Dinin' is a side project I actually started working on back in March of 2024. I was making pretty good progress actually. The game takes place in a restaurant owned by Chikn and friends, with everybody wearing related outfits. The game plays more similarly to a typical FNaF fan game than Night at Nuggit's does, though with its own quirks of course. This game was even teased in an older post of mine.

However, the game was taking time away from Night at Nuggit's, and has been put on hold since then.

In fact, I thought this game potentially wouldn't happen. Therefore, I actually re-used a lot of assets from this game for Night at Nuggit's. For example:

Some of the thumbnail renders included with Night at Nuggit's were redrawn from extras renders made for Dweadful Dinin'.

Because I thought Dweadful Dinin' may not happen, I was proud of these renders and didn't want to waste them, so I redrew them to be used for Night at Nuggit's!

There are several other re-used things, from images to music. For example, the nugget box that appears in the "Choose Counter Event" screen is actually the camera tablet in DD (it did look suspiciously like a laptop, huh?).

A potential idea at one point was to have what was finished of DD added as a "bonus night" to NAN, though of course this didn't happen.

So here's the thing with Dweadful Dinin'...

I was thinkin' of picking it up again!

Like I said, working on Night at Nuggit's (and on anything Chikn Nuggit related in general) is incredibly fun, and I would love to keep providing more related content for you wonderful people. And now, I have more motivation than ever to work on the next game in the Night at Nuggit's series!

(NOTE: This IS a side game, not a direct sequel. Sequels usually are more content demanding, and from now on I think I'd like to cool it down on how big my games are. Despite Dweadful Dinin' being a side game, it will still be connected to Night at Nuggit's story-wise.)

On another note, another update is planned for Night at Nuggit's, and it's more than just a patch!
