This morning I did a little bit of research into manipulating the camera viewpoints and implemented them into the game, so now the camera follows the player, rather than having a total view of the room. With this addition the next thing to do would be to create a large room in the game to make our first test level (starting with layout, then puzzles, then enemies). The longest part of this I feel is going to be actually designing the tile sets and background/foreground imagery. I’ll be working on this more than likely over the next few days and will report back when I am finished, with some sample screenshots of the level.
