Why didn't you include &Knuckles too?
This is because if you add &Knuckles to reproduce this with scratch, it will be a huge project and it will be far from completion.

Now let's resume development of this game.
The game was renamed "Sonic 3 Remastered" and added a title screen animation.
Next up
Engine update. The engine code that I was using until recently was starting to get pretty weird, so I moved to a framework that I'm currently developing. In addition to that, I made some changes to Sonic's abilities.
Animation changes when jumping, sprite change time when Sonic waits has been sped up.
