O’Relic / kona_bruv_ -  11/17/2022 - Big Personal Devlog


Hey everyone! Today is a big day for me. I am turning 18, applying for college, and getting my driver’s license. It would have been even bigger, however, things change. As you may know, the entire game was originally planned to come out exactly a year ago. That was a massive oversight on my end, as nothing was finished and I had no idea what I was going to do with most of it. Ever since then, O’Relic has DRASTICALLY evolved into something much greater than it was going to be before. Of course, things had continued to go south in my life.

PART 1: PERSONAL 

If things had all gone to plan, the new and improved Official O’Relic Trailer would have been featured in the Fangame Direct event on October 29th, and it would have revealed that a Day 1 Demo would be released on November 17th. Sadly, things changed with the event, and people were hungry for prey. I was told that dozens of people were pestering the Fangame Direct’s hosts about having me in the event. I won’t go into the details here, but if you are interested, please read my post addressing awful false rumors and stories being rapidly spread about me here. Everybody ignored this post, likely because they did not want to accept that their desired narrative of me being a disgusting pest of a person was very inaccurate. The hosts understood my point of view and accepted my word on the situation, which I greatly appreciate, but in the end, the harassment against the hosts and the slander on the event was too great, and it was decided I had to permanently go. I had been kinda kicked in the past just because of similar reasons, one or two people sharing false rumors they got from bad people in my past. I had fought hard to get myself back in and I had no desire to be kicked once again, especially because of all I have publicly addressed and disproved, and all of it being about things years ago. Being kicked from the event absolutely crushed me. The big chance I had to finally get O’Relic the attention it deserves, absolutely tarnished all because some kids on the internet wanted it gone.

I have been very split on if I should post something like this or not, just getting out some anger publicly. Of course, this opens up a ton of vulnerability. I had been diagnosed with extreme generalized anxiety disorder 5 years ago, with social anxiety being the worst of them all. I am terrified to post anything online because of how much damage a little harmless joke at my expense does to me. Of course, this is something I should definitely work on getting over as a name online- but what has made it exponentially worse is that because of friendly jokes being made about past mistakes I’ve made, it turns into something people actually believe is genuine, which has happened with all this Fangame Direct stuff. Again, it’s addressed in the post linked above. I do not want pity, I just want an overall understanding that I am, of course, incredibly flawed as an individual, but also that my brain does not work the same way as others in many different ways. Little things bother me, big things make me go into a shaking panic. Things you do and say matters much more than you know. I have learned that, and I believe it is important for others to learn as well. If people still attack me for opening up like this, may it be in your moral code to stand your own ground and think about who the real monster is here, because I have never been able to do this alone. If nobody does anything to help others, nothing changes; the innocent stay prey and the evil rule supreme. I really don’t even know what I’m going on about. I just type and type and type whatever the hell comes up into my brain. That’s just how I live, I guess.

PART 2: O’RELIC

Alrighty! Now that that stuff is outta the way, we can talk about the game. As I said in part 1, I had lost a ton of motivation to keep working on the game after the Fangame Direct debacle. To fill the void and/or get myself back into the groove, I’ve been making a silly n64-esque game about a hilarious experience I had recently. Check out the full story here. It’s just a goofy game to simulate what the actual thing felt like, literally and figuratively.

Anyway, many things I had planned to completely remake are close to being finished! Then coding and stuff will continue with it and all that jazz. The overall general pacing and formula of the entire game is all figured out, and I must be careful not to spoil everything with how much I want to share! Over the past few months I have shared most of the new designs of the main 4 characters found in the O’Relic Family Corner: Gabe, J.C., Mrs. O’Relic, and Toby, which hasn’t been revealed yet. He actually has a few different models… it’s a game mechanic thing that I can hopefully share soon. I will definitely make more teaser images revealing more of the great stuff O’Relic has in store. Remember, this is so much more than just a FNaF fangame. So much more.

That's pretty much all I have that I wanna show for now, but I will be showing much more soon, and there will be the much-anticipated OFFICIAL O'Relic Trailer and OFFICIAL Day 1 Demo. I am psyched to work on this, and I'm so happy I can share it with all of you. Yes, losing a spot in the Fangame Direct was a detriment to many different things, but in the end, I am incredibly thankful for each and every like on any one of my posts. Thank you, every one of you, for your support. Here's to a great future, hopefully without too much drama and misery. I can move on if others are willing to move on.
