It's been a while since I've done a thorough progress update on the state of the game, so here's another one!
Some amazing progress has been made behind the scenes, and while I'd love to show all of it here - a certain event will be happening this Halloween with a brand new trailer for TEALERLAND in the works...

First things first: I am now trying out using an animated GIF for the game's thumbnail!
This should be the last thumbnail change until the game's full launch - the banner will also see a 'final' update near the Fangames at Freddy's event.
This is also your first clear look at the final Tealer model! Gathering the feedback from the previous model and my own feelings on it, I decided to make a completely new, detailed endoskeleton & re-model the face & torso entirely instead of just trying to modify the old one - and it's resulted in a much more usable and clean model. I also think it's a bit scarier!
You'll be seeing more of the new model soon! I plan to carry out this refresh to the other main characters.
Moving onto game-play, the UI visuals have seen a major overhaul!

On top of that, I have added a few new UI elements to make understanding the gameplay a bit easier!
A mini-map located at the top of the screen has been implemented to make understanding the facility layout easier:

A 'staring indicator' has also been implemented, giving visual warnings when an animatronic is attempting to attack you:

In addition to these, a lot of new features to simplify and refine the game (such as infected files having more obvious names, walking speed being increased, keypad being removed, etc.) have been implemented based on prior feedback and the game has definitely seen an improvement from it.
A lot of bugs reported previously have also been (seemingly) fixed now from my own testing, and the game has seen some major balancing tweaks. I will be having my friends test it and give their feedback of their own very soon!
The game is also finally up and running in DirectX 11 now, as I have upgraded to Clickteam Fusion 2.5+! Game performance should now hopefully be consistent in the next build across most computers.
I understand the wait for the new demo has been frustrating for some, but believe me when I say I think this is a night and day improvement.

Think that's all for this month's status update! I would like to once again thank everyone who's been following the game and giving their feedback and thoughts. The project has evolved substantially because of it, and I'm extremely grateful to have an audience for it.
I want to try to have a status update each month assuming I have enough progress to show.
Until then, see you when the 31st arrives...
