On Day Two, and Terrible.. Beautiful Things.

I guess I’m calling it quits for today, I’m too tired to get anything done. Today didn’t feel as productive as yesterday, but I got enough done to be OK with going to bed at 11.

The game actually looks surprisingly good right now, but I’m worried that it wont be very fun. Tomorrow I’m going to focus on enemies, AI, and gameplay which, admittedly, should have been my first priority. Hopefully it doesn’t all fall apart.

I Improved the controls, redid the spaceship model, added keyboard shortcuts, implemented weapons and enemy death, implemented a proto-“Man in black”, added the space station, added some proto-enemies that are mostly useless, and added a skybox.

Last night I stayed up late watching a film, which explains why I’m so darn tired right now. Unfortunately the hundreds of liters of tea and Red Bull that I’m pumping into my system isn’t helping. I’m starting to see things.. Terrible, beautiful things… Anyways, I’m outy. Peace off, and good luck fellow contestants.

(BTW: I’m uploading builds of my progress that you can play. There’s not much to do, but if you have ideas or criticism I’d love to hear it.)

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity
