One of my personal favorites out of Game Jolt's mascots this time, everybody's friend, it's Kikkerstein!

Bio below. v

Kikkerstein

Joined Game Jolt: 2010

Hobbies: Science experiments, gadget crafting

Dislikes: Inhumane experiments, fairy tale princesses

Bio: Kikkerstein is an accomplished scientist who constantly works to advance the world of technology. He is a pleasant fellow and beloved by those who know him, but if you ever take a tour of his laboratory, prepare to feel a bit overwhelmed... Within, there are enough blinking lights, beeps, and boops to cause a migraine for any normal individual. Kikkerstein has put his talents to good use on Game Jolt, creating complex, but user friendly analytical charts and graphs to help users understand the visibility and popularity of their games and other content. Kikkerstein finds great pleasure in visiting his good friend Judge Jelly, and some day hopes to create a device that will allow him to communicate in the language of the Indie Ocean Jellyfish.

Author's notes:

Like Judge Jelly, Kikkerstein's role has changed a number of times; he's really quite versatile. Some of you may remember him from Game Jolt's e-mail newsletters a few years back, sending everyone off with warm wishes at the end of each message. Kikkerstein is pretty much everybody's friend, being such a good-natured chap, but something interesting to note is that he and Judge Jelly both joined the Game Jolt family in the same year (2010), so it's easy to see why those two are particularly good friends, even with a language barrier between them.

The second picture I included went along with the announcement of the user tagging system on GJ, so we see Kikkerstein using the "@" symbol to get Judge Jelly's attention.

Do you know how Kikkerstein got his name? "Kikker" is frog in Dutch, and the "stein" was taken from Doctor Frankenstein, since Kikkerstein is also a scientist, perhaps even a bit crazy at that.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well today.

I'm currently working on designing a floral motif for an art nouveau surface pattern challenge. This is what I have so far, but it's still very rough, as you can tell. Fun to make, though!

For Spoonflower's "thrift treasures" fabric pattern challenge—they wanted retro references and some primaries.

I had too many ideas for this one, so just ended up mindlessly doing whatever.

Silly doodle.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'm planning on spending a little bit of time with friends, but the leaves are coming down so hard right now, most of my weekend will probably be spent cleaning up. LOL It's fun, though.

Take care!

We have a question and we wanna know: What video game deserves to have a theme park ride? Complete the quest and you'll get 100 Coins!
