Why Itch?

A few reasons, but the most important one is that since the game is still in Alpha a lot of updates can still be expected, and Butler outranks GJPush by far when it comes to quick updates, and due to the high rates of updates that can be expected. Due to that I only wanted one site, and Butler was the easiest and quickest tool to use...

A few notes!

• The game no longer supports the GJAPI any more and as things look like now, no future game of mine will. Don't even try to use an old version to get any trophies. Removing them from this page was simply too much trouble, and if you have them, well enjoy having achievements nobody can get anymore.

• Remember THIS IS ALPHA! Bugs can be expected and some crucial ones too. If you find any don't hesitate to visit my issue tracker to report them to me.

• The game DOES slow down when a lot of enemies are in the field unless you have a pretty powerful PC. I've tried everything I could to get around this, and it was worse, but for the time being I've done all I can. I'm afraid that is the way it is.

• Mac is no longer supported. People who are well versed in C++ willing to make a Mac port of the Apollo Game Engine, are welcome to try, but I will no longer give any support for this.

• Linux is still being investigated. If I can get things on the move in Linux I will support it, but no promises yet.

• There is no ETA yet for the beta. The beta and the stable versions of the new version of Star Story will be hosted on Game Jolt, but how long that's gonna take will really depend on what kind of serious issues still pop up during the alpha period.

• For alpha I will only feature a full version will all audio and stuff present. For the beta and the stable versions, you will have a version with and without the background music. The version without is most of all meant for people with low disk space or download data limitations.
