In a separate test project, I've already been able to implement flickering light sources that can also change color, and as a result of redoing most of the lighting related code, have been able to achieve a noticeable increase in performance while the lighting system is active. Even in a test level with over 1000 chunks, which is a great sign that the system should end up working better in Beta 1 and later versions. The development images attached show a look at a test level with several active light sources of different colors. #bfnsultimate #bfnsu
