PARTY ON!

So excited about this contest! :D

Our idea is a Party Simulator game. The player gets to be a Party Planner, and pick objects/party stuff for each level within a certain budget. The party will get visited by random npcs, that will react according to their type to the choices the player makes. They would have a happiness meter, and if they get too unhappy about the party they will leave. Some cubes might like certain things that other cubes don’t like, so you would have to balance your choices to try and keep the most people happy.

I never made a game like this, so it’ll be an interesting challenge :) Hope I can bring my vision to life.

Building system + UI! So happy :D Now gotta work on the actual points-system, winning conditions and stuff like that. Also more interaction between cubes.

New Headers! Just realized that despite all the new artwork, the header and thumbnail of the page were still showing that awful model made in 5 minutes. So… Took a screenshot from the game and made a new header/thumbnail ^^

Assets Assets Assets! Eliza has been hard at work on the assets, and they are looking great :D Meanwhile the UI is coming along, and now it’s possible to create stuff pulling from buttons. Hopefully I’ll have it playable by tomorrow.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Successful landing

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?
