Pentagun's First Update


I originally planned to have this uploaded tomorrow, sticking to my “Every Friday” schedule, but I’ll be pretty busy tomorrow and will probably end up not having much time to do anything at home, so this update will be an exception.

The Beta 1.1 update is here and I think it adds some pretty exciting things to the game. I’ll name the big ones.

-Player and Enemy health. The player, and certain enemies (just the two new ones for now) have health. The player’s health bar is shown between the two interface buttons, and the enemy’s health is signified by flashing colors: they will flash blue if they’re two shots away from death, and red if they’re just one.

-Enemies that fire back. Right now, only one enemy actually shoots at you, and it is this enemy’s projectile that is the only current detriment to your health.

-Huge level. 1.0’s level was laughably small, now it’s over 3 times as large!

-New special weapon: an insanely-overpowered focus beam, but with a recharge rate that’s slower than a limp turtle.

-Much more!

You can see a complete list of additions/changes in the game’s Help file, accessed by pressing F1. Don’t forget to report any bugs as soon as you find them, and why not throw in a suggestion or two? I’m open to ideas.
