Similarly to Bonnie, Chica started development on April 15th. Unlike Bonnie, she was only reworked once and her initial moveset was never finished. It involved picking up and releasing your cupcake, getting better stats with the cupcake, and better zoning without it. The release move that dropped your cupcake was the predecessor of Chica's Lunge ability, which was what the release move was reworked into.

Outside of Chica's Cupcakeless moveset having an early version of her Reposition ability, nothing else was finished before the moveset got scrapped in favor of the cupcake always being its own little thing, and due to how complex the moveset was. This rework would be concepted on June 1st, and would receive very few changes until its release.

Sorry that there's not much else to talk about with Chica! Unlike Bonnie, her development process was not as interesting. She didn't need to be reworked to modern standards, and only ever got one rework as opposed to the several he and some others received.
