Planning the last days

I’m beginning to worry about not finishing the game in time so I decided to plan a little and prioritize tasks. Since the contest encourages devs to share the development down to its minor things, like streaming the pixel work and procrastinating in the gamejolt chat (procrastination is a very important part of game development, seems to be a part of everyone’s workflow), I decided to write down the priorities here then.

Ordered from more important to less important (more or less)

Animate the player model. Idle, running and flying. Maybe one for walljump.

Basic enemy unit model, texture and script.

Ground model and quick texture. Just so I have something other than a plane.

Explodable objects: cars, coffee machines, photocopiers and street lights, quick model, quick texture and quick script.

Sound effects for gun fire and explosions.

Simple background.

Main menu and a level!

Simple animation for basic enemy unit, idle and shooting.

Two more levels.

Helicopter, minimalistic model and textures and script.

A cinematic system for things like a tutorial, level intro dialogues etc.

Okey dokey. I think it’s possible to reach the ‘two more levels’ item before the deadline, resulting in a 3 levels working game.

So

i may or may not make an full art of some person or i may just leave this like that-

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Microsoft Windows XP Unprofessional (windows logo prototype)

Demonstration of the spells and their effects :)!

Levels' maps.

I did this on my 3DS ^^ #Kirby

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
