Playable Demo Here at Game Jolt

Looks like a playable demo is at hand, folks! I’ve added audio already, so the game feels more solid and complete. It’s now just a matter of getting content in, and for me to decide how big (or small) this game will actually be. You know I started this game with the aim of making it small and more like a mini game, but as I get feedback and support, it’s making me give it a second thought. Does it have a chance? Is it worth it to make this into a full blown 50-something level game with deeper gameplay elements? Time will tell I guess.

In any case, check out the first Gnome More War Trailer

Concept design for the Dark Forest level. #gamedev

I'm starting on a new level (Dark Forest), but before I dress it up I need to make sure it plays good, so I start by laying out the paths using wireframe tilesets. #gamedev

Done with character swapping! Swap between the melee tank (Aether) and the long ranged mage (Myst). It's gonna be be fun designing levels that accommodate contrasting play styles. #screenshotsaturday

Title Screen Here’s the new title screen for the game. It shows a bunch of gnomes stealing from your barn! I think this gives the player a sneak peek of the gameplay. Also it’s better than a static drawing, in my opinion.

War Room Redux After gathering some feedback about the War Room mockup I made, here’s an updated one. The background is no longer a placeholder, and I removed the “girl” character…it takes away from the scene.

I thought I had move on...but Google Play warned me to update my app to support the latest Android version or else it would be taken down. Now I have new gameplay ideas so I decided to make another update. Coming to Gamejolt soon!

Here's to hoping 2021 will be much better than 2020. Happy New Year!

Made some adjustments to the boss AI so that the fight is more strategic, less spammy. This is meant to be the first boss encounter. What do you guys think?

Player Assist work in progress. Close, long, and mid range attacks. #gamedev #godstear #madewithunity

Combat test with the Player Assist system. It can get frantic! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #madewithunity
