You know, I didn’t think I would have to write this out.
But I think it’s better if I do.
The UTC isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, I believe many of us are aware of this.
Corruption, betrayal, spite.
Many things that lead to the collapse of projects or even friendships.
And some believe it stems from popularity, and what one does with it.
I saw a few articles about this whilst rotting in bed from being sick.
Let me say an example here.
I’m sick right before my birthday.
Who would I blame?
My friends for getting me sick?
Poor hygiene?
Myself, for being sick?
What if the sum of it was due to ALL parties having an effect?
People complain about friends being “lost to popularity” and supposedly “changing for the worse.”
People hyper-fixate on making THEMSELVES into some kind of “hero” in an argument.
Objectively, they have things that give them a reason to see from their point of view.
But oftentimes, these collapses end off with one thing occurring.
Denial of redemption.
A second chance, lost to spite.
Typically in these situations, it stems from miscommunication or even a lack of talking.
I believe earnestly in redemption.
That ANYONE can be better if they try.
Their consequences being taken by the wrongfully acted.
And if they overcome such a thing, I believe they deserve a second chance.
Some people don’t agree with me.
But it’s what I believe.
From what I’ve seen, fame has helped me to an extent.
I may not be “popular” in the utc, far from it..
Many people call me underground, or just unknown.
I’m in groups that are infamous or popular, but I try to believe in what I believe in.
Being shown their kindness and grace shows me all the proof I need for these people.
They care about people in exchange for kindness.
Yes, there are people who act against it.
Who are malicious no matter what, who lash out at the world.
And those are the other side of this yin-yang argument.
People cling onto the past and refuse to believe in change, while others deny this opportunity to those who’ve wronged them.
Be the bigger man and forgive.
Anyone can be a better person if they try.
Don’t lose your friends over a stupid misunderstanding or argument.
This community could be better, but we have to make a change, you know?
I’m not saying everyone has to.
But if one person accepts this belief
Maybe it’ll make the smallest impact.
Thank you for reading.
