Power Burst and Heal Added

Work on the game goes on, little by little. I just finished adding two new power ups: Power Burst and Heal. Power Burst is a bigger projectile that is set to be indestructible, so it has the ability to pass through all objects, unlike the weaker (but faster) magic missile. Think Megaman’s charged blast. The Heal power up is self explanatory; it replenishes your health meter by 5 points (subject to change).

I ran the same test with the Player Swap mechanic. You can only choose between one or the other, depends on your decision on who will join your adventure. #gamedev #godstear #madewithunity

Started prototyping the Player Assist feature. With a press of a button you can summon party members that will perform their special attacks. I know it looks like Ender Lillies but my inspiration was the Marvel vs Capcom games.

I thought I had move on...but Google Play warned me to update my app to support the latest Android version or else it would be taken down. Now I have new gameplay ideas so I decided to make another update. Coming to Gamejolt soon!

Here's to hoping 2021 will be much better than 2020. Happy New Year!

Player Assist work in progress. Close, long, and mid range attacks. #gamedev #godstear #madewithunity

Update 1.1.8c is out now. With this I have optimized the game to take up around 300mb of RAM. Hopefully this eliminates all those ANRs and crashes! Check it out: https://tinyurl.com/2s43rhk8

Title Screen Here’s the new title screen for the game. It shows a bunch of gnomes stealing from your barn! I think this gives the player a sneak peek of the gameplay. Also it’s better than a static drawing, in my opinion.

Combat test with the Player Assist system. It can get frantic! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #madewithunity

I'm starting on a new level (Dark Forest), but before I dress it up I need to make sure it plays good, so I start by laying out the paths using wireframe tilesets. #gamedev
