Game
Five Nights at Bootleg Plush's: Halloween Edition

Pre-release/beta stuff.

Since today's Halloween, I'm gonna show them now.

Unlike the other FNaBP games, I had actually uploaded an MFA of an indev/pre-release version of this game to my Google Drive.

That MFA is dated January 31, 2023 (upload date). It had the following things:

  • Splash screen

  • Warning screen

  • Main Menu

  • 12 AM screen

  • Loading screen

  • Night (main gameplay)

  • Game Over screen (static only)

  • Custom Night Menu

Work on this game started in November 2022, after Halloween 2022 was already over. I took a break from working on it some time later, then resumed work on it for a bit around January, paused it again, and resumed work on the game in early October 2023 to finish and release it.

Menu screenshots

The main menu originally didn't have the background with the pumpkins, and Dreadbear had a different look.

The text at the bottom right originally used the Lazy Dog instead of Trajan Pro for its font.

early_custom_night_menu.png

The Custom Night menu originally had no background. The challenges, the Endless Mode, along with the Reset and Randomize buttons weren't implemented at the time.

The text font used for the character names and the AI levels was also Lazy Dog instead of Trajan Pro.

Miscellaneous screenshots

early_warning.png

The warning screen originally had these vertically moving stripes, was using the Lazy Dog font, and had no background.

early_12_am.png

The 12 AM screen had no background at the time. It also had a white fade out when this screen shows up, and originally used the night start sound from FNaF: Fredbear.

Gameplay screenshots

The office (and the cameras) originally had stronger decoration lights, and the decorations with the hats, bats and ghosts weren't present. You can also notice a Dreadbear plush on the desk (which was an official one instead of a bootleg one, which was also the case for the actual characters during early development).

The HUD font was also different, and the flashlight battery at the time worked like in FNaF 2.

early_mask.png

During development, the mask was the same one from FNaF 2.

The toxic bar was originally going to change its color depending on how much of the bar was filled. When it was red, it would start blinking.

early_gameplay_2.png

Originally, you could move the camera flashlight around, and Cam 6 wasn't implemented at the time. The camera names also originally used the same font used in the original FNaBP game.

Office & Cameras

These are the images for the early versions of the office and the cameras. Camera 6 is not there, because it wasn't made at the time.

The cameras originally had the bats, and the office had more of them. Cam 4 also had way more pumpkins on the table.

The office poster also originally had the text "THE DREADBEAR QUAD" and was colored green.

Earlier version

I don't have any screenshots or videos of this earlier version of the game, since I had only uploaded that version of the MFA from late January, but I do have some info about it.

During very early development, the main text fonts for the game were going to be Dead Bitch (yes, that's the font's name), the font that was used in the classic version of FNaTI: The Lost Ones 2, and Lazy Dog, used in Phasmophobia. The game's logo also originally had a pumpkin behind it.

The main menu theme was originally going to be the FNaTI: The Lost Ones 2 (Classic) menu theme, before being changed to the ONwYN: Halloween Edition menu theme.

That should be everything.

Update 1.0.5

Finished FrankenWario's renders and jumpscare.

Update 1.0.1

The art for all achievements are now finished.

Made a model for @Scrap_Metal to help me practice with organic modelling. I've done organics before but never felt satisfied, did this one very well. Might try to get into organic modelling, it's pretty fun!

Thanks to @DaRadsla for helping rig it! ^^

I've added one more achievement.

I ended up making a new cutscene for beating All-Out mode, and the old one I originally made for beating it has been repurposed as a secret cutscene instead.

Also, since the game has reached 75 followers, here are some desktop wallpapers of the 4 main characters that are in the game.

We laugh at the stupidest stuff.
