Game
Five Nights at Bootleg Plush's

Pre-release/beta stuff.

This post shows the only surviving screenshots of indev versions of the game that I have.

I was going to show them during the anniversary, but ended up not doing it until now.

Main Menu:

The main menu originally used the Consolas font instead of the OCR font. The font was also being used in the Extra menu, before the font was chaged to OCR.

During early development, the background with the plushies was different, and had different lighting. It was later redone to add the twitching animation, since that background had no animations.

In the first menu screenshot, there was also no button to open my profile, and the date said 2022-202X, probably because I originally thought it would take a year or more to finish the game.

The Office:

The office originally didn't have the power bar above the door button. The controlled shock panel was also originally placed between the Freddy plush and the fan. There's also no vent power bars, as the vents weren't implemented at the time.

The Monitor:

Pretty much the same as the final game, other than the 4:3 aspect ratio. There's no map toggle button, again, because the vents weren't implemented at the time.

6 AM (no surviving images):

The 6 AM screen originally had the FNaF 1 style, with the 5/6 moving up and the jingle from that game. It was later changed during development to the FNaF 2 style, with the digital clock font, jingle and confetti, along with adding the fireworks.

Other/miscellaneous things:

I actually started working on this game around September 2021, and I had only worked on the main menu at that time.

The game was originally going to be called Five Nights with Bootleg Plushies. This title is almost the same as the final title.

Then, in March 2022, I resumed work on the game. The title was changed to the final title.

The game was also going to be originally in widescreen, before it was changed to 4:3 when I resumed work in March 2022, before being changed back to 16:9 during development on update 1.4.

The Mute Call button was originally going to be below the time. It was moved to be below the vent power bars, since it would overlap with the Map Toggle button in the monitor. The screenshot is also lower quality, because it was taken from this video, which showed a preview of the Night 1 phone call.

The game was going to have Nightmare Foxy, but because my mom couldn't buy it due to not having enough money (this happened around late December 2021/early January 2022, before I resumed work on the game), he ended up not making it into the final game.

And finally, I had some beta builds on my laptop, but they are now lost to time, because the laptop got reset multiple times after it started having BSoD errors. As a result, they were deleted, along with all the stuff that were on it. The screenshots on this post are the only surviving images of these beta builds.
