Progress

Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for your interest in Turtle Head! It really made my day when I saw this had made the front page.

Anyways, I think an update on the games progress is long overdue. Most of my time since my last post has been spent on the fine tuning of the game’s story and custom audio effects. Due to this, I haven’t really had much in the way of new visuals to show in screenshots.

But not to worry! The majority of the tilesets are finished, and the rest of the game’s maps are in the process of being built. For now, I’ll leave you all with one new screenshot, but expect a few more in the next week.

Also, I have decided to move the game’s release date from mid-March to the end of March. This is because of a few new ideas I’ve decided to implement, as well as to ensure the game is tested and polished as best as it possibly can be.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Finished work on the emotions of a new character for the tank universe

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.
