Hello everyone!
We'd like to start off this devlog by quickly addressing why there hasn't been any updates on Gamejolt for a year.
We try to only post devlogs when we think that we have enough to show, and we do not want to post small updates here.
However, if you'd like to see more frequent, smaller updates, you can join our Discord server!
We're also looking for more team members! For more info, check the end of the devlog.
Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to actual progress!
Changes made in the past year
First, let's look at the things that changed since the April Fools demo and the last devlog.
As you can see, there's a lot that has changed.
All the tiles have been completely remade and look much better, thanks to one of our artists, Salami!
Character sprites have also been remade to fit with our new tiles.
The textbox has changed to have a simpler design.
Here's another example of the changes in tiles and sprites, the left side being the old one, while the right side is the new, improved version.
Our artstyle has become quite different from Undertale, however we still try our best to keep that charm the original had while still having big visual improvements.
Borders!
That's right! We have border art, just like Undertale's PS4 and Switch versions.
These are 2 in-game screenshots, showing the borders for two of the areas in the demo!
You can also see the entrance to the castle in the first image.
Both borders were drawn by Salami.
Overworld Menu
Just like the textbox shown earlier, we have simplified the look of the Overworld Menu!
The layout of it has stayed the same as it was before, however the actual box shape was changed to look more simple.
Main Menu
Here's what it looks like!
The menu art is made by DeMento!
Intro
Intro panels made by Salami.
Instead of the intro being about the war again, we have decided to make it about the story of the Dreemurr family.
Other
For our battle sprites, we try to make them be "Toby-styled", but slightly improved.
By not adding too much detail or changing the battle sprite style too much, our characters' faces don't look "off", but we still make sure our sprites aren't messy so they're still visually pleasing to look at.
We're looking for more Team Members!
That's right! We need more people to be able to speed up the game's progress.
We're looking for pretty much any type of help (composers, spriters, etc.), but we mainly need coders and room designers.
For coders, you must be able to use GameMaker Studio 1.4 and have some experience with it.
For room designers, we're basically looking for people that can design rooms with puzzles.
For spriters, you need to be able to make sprites in our current style.
If you'd like to apply to the team, join our Discord server and apply there.
(We're also looking for people that can animate and people that can sing.)
Art
We'd like to share some art that our team members have made before we end the devlog.

We also post new music to our Soundcloud page, if you'd like to check that out.
But that's all we have for now! Once again, if you'd like more frequent updates, join our Discord server.
See you next time!
