Progress Report --- April


Art

  • Frisk Changed!

    I made somenew Frisk sprites, to differ a little from Undertale, also because they are older than Undertale Frisk
    (I headcanon that Frisk is 9 in UnderTale, they are 14 in this game)

  • Dodge segmets
    Changing Frisk sprites i had to change the soul dodging sprites and so i decided to implement the purple outlines of the rooms

Coding

  • Borders
    I finally managed to implement the borders!
    They change based on the zone you are in

  • Enemies
    I implemented 5 enemies, but since the rest are spoilers i'll show two of them.

Also there is a reason for whimsums now looking more gooey.
And no, the amalgamates have nothing to do with it.
It's a method for survival, but you will need to talk with them to learn it.
(Not really interesting but world building is needed)

  • Menu Separation
    I saw some fangames separating
    ITEMS; EQUIPPABLE ITEMS; KEY ITEMS;
    And you know what?
    Pretty smart idea, you have way more space
    So...

  • Main menu changes
    In your adventure in the UnderGround you will enter various places
    The main menu will change based on your place and actions

for example if flowey is dead Frisk is alone in the menu.

  • New Cutscene

    I did make a cutscene for a part of the game it isn't kind of spoilers but...meh who cares.

Overall

I did make some progress

I added 4 normal enemies with 3 attacks each
And 1 mini boss that attacks are almost finished

Added 2 no flowey route rooms
Added 1 Flowey Route room where a cutscene with Toriel will take place

I remade Frisk's sprites to age them up a little
I added changing borders (and a normal border that is always the same)

I added menu changing based on LV and Zone
I added more sections of the Item menues

I added the purple outlines of the room in the soul dodging segment

And i added a cutscene where Cyan Soul child appears.
