pvz garden warfare 1 wiki-bombing because i feel like it

i would also do one for gw 2, but the problem is... i dont own the game. i could crack it, but the new problem would be: no online. and you know i want to play online in shooters.

enjoy reading lmao

WARNING: Should have put this earlier: This thing contains swears in majority of the paragraphs, and can be jokey later down the reading. Like they say in italy: "Uomo avvisato, Mezzo salvato."

Ah, the game of nostalgia (Fight me, Minecraft fans). This goofy and cartoony shooter wrecked the gaming scene once it released, because a shooter game for a tower defense genre game was a REALLY weird, but was also quite a interesting idea.

The gameplay is the same as any other shooter: Beat the opposing team, and reign victorious together with your teammates. Though if you're tired of the classic "Shoot them up until they become smaller than dust particles in the air" (What a weird way to name this, huh?) style, there are a few gamemodes: some of them are the overused ideas, some of them actually original. Speaking of original gamemodes, let's talk about the most smart of them all: Garden Ops.

This is, in my opinion, the best mode the GW series has to offer (Alongside the Garden & Graveyards mode, but i'll touch on it later). Such an obvious, but welcome way to implement defensive gameplay into a goddamn shooter! You are tasked to be the plants, and to protect a... scarecrow? SERIOUSLY? OUT OF EVERYTHING THEY CHOSE A- Nah, joking. Actually fits the plants. Anyway, your job is to protect a scarecrow from 10 waves of zombies. Each 5 waves, Zomboss rolls a slot machine, which will either spawn one or more bosses into the wave. Obviously you need to defeat them. However, after you defeated the onslaught on Wave 10, Crazy Dave will need to pick you up in his flying... van, thing... and it'll take a while for so. Stay near the circle where Dave will land, and if at least ONE teammate doesn't go on board or dies, you theorically failed. If you're tired about the easy difficulty of Ops, you can set it from the easiest one to the hardest one, which is CRRRAAAAAZY!! (Not spelled correctly, don't get mad at me).

The second most smart/original one is Garden & Graveyards mode. To be short, it's just King Of The Hill divided into, like, 5 sections. The defending team has the objective to protect their garden from the attacking team, and if the opposing team do take over the garden, they gotta protect the next section, and repeat, up until the last one, which includes an unique twist: a special "minigame" for the attacking team. Won't go further down to explain about them, so I don't fill this too much.

Now, with gamemodes out of the way, I'm gonna talk about the OST.

AND BRO...

...IT'S FUCKING FIRE.

LIKE SERIOUSLY, JUST LISTEN TO THE ENTIRETY OF THE MAIN THEME, AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO TELL ME THAT IT SUCKS:

I think thats all I gotta say for the OST. Literally a banger, and pretty much one of the best in the PvZ series.

Tired of the given classes just being overused splash damagers, suicide attackers, knock-off Heavies from TF2 and- wait, who's the smartass to give a healer a shotgun?THEY DESERVE A PROMOTION! Oh, right. Ummm... tired of them? Well, say no more! This game has something named Variants. Basically, Variants are the same characters, but with some minor (HP Change, Damage Change, Attack Speed Change, etc) or huge changes (New Main Attack, Passives). These can really affect your gameplay on a character and who you are fighting against. Variants however do not change secondary abilities, but dont fret! You can switch abilities around with some upgraded ones (Won't go in detail about them. It's as simple as it sounds.)!

Now, what's the Variants list? Well, here it is: Damagers who's attacks splash damage is larger than an ocean, Some who couldn't play with fire so they ate a fucking flamethrower so people wouldn't complain, Low damage light-coloured motherfucker sniper who's only pro is that it slows down opponents, Fell!Sunflower, FUCKING CHEETO ZOMBIE????, Ink!Engineer Zombie, and much more!

Now onto the maps. Common thing for every shooter: They're fun to play on. Some maps in gamemodes like Gardens & Graveyards have a bunch of branching paths: good for the attacking team, and keeps the defending team always alerted. I like that... and I think the fanbase does too. Sucks that the branching paths were fucked off in GW2 and Battle For Neighborville.

Hmm, how could I forget! Before ending this wiki-bombing, I wanna add ONE thing: The game also has a special quirk to it: It doesn't make you toxic. Dying actually feels nice. I don't know why. afterall, it has the same thing as every other shooter: Die by getting suicide-attacked.. or ambushed... or sniped, and get taunted on. Though, when you die, or just re-watch how you died, you just go like "Man, I should have took another path!", or "I should have dodged that! Haha!", or anything else.

So, that's it. A really fun and solid game, and has a legendary quirk to it like I said earlier. I rate this game 9/10. Obviously needs some improvements, but if those WOULD have been fixed, it would have been the perfect shooter.

See ya!

(Just to avoid some arguing, I'm adding this: Do NOT follow me expecting for more wiki-bombing on random games, or more PvZ games. I mainly focus on random nonsensical posts and shitposts. So please be the good guy.)

...And I'm leaving you with the entire fucking OST of the game because I say so:

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.
