Tomorrow the Windows and Android 0.5.0a builds will go live at 12pm EST.
This build is limited to two stages:
Stage 1 (my rendition of Green Hill)
Test Stage (unlocked after beating Stage 1 in campaign mode)
This build is limited to 5 characters:
Sonic
Amy (unlock her by staring at OVA Sonic in the Test Stage. I haven't made a model of her Piko Piko hammer yet so this one's a freebie)
Shadow (unlocked by finding his inhibitor rings in the Test Stage)
Espio (unlocked by finding his throwing knives in the Test Stage)
Silver (unlocked by finding a levitating metal crate in the Test Stage)
There a couple of bugs present, the biggest being that the Stage Select does not currently work due to an oversight on my end when adding stage unlocking via campaign progress. Due to the amount of hours it takes to export a single build, I am publishing them as is. This has already been fixed and will be patched in throughout the week.
Expect performance issues.
I have yet to properly optimize the game for mobile again. This includes some simple oversights on my end (in other words, I forgot to optimize the new UI elements for 18:9 screens, add the boost button on the Android UI, and lock the resolution to 720p). I will also be patching these in later this week.
Also expect a bloated file size as I am still working on removing redundant files without breaking the game completely.
That means that currently the other stages and original menus ARE present in the game files, hence the bloated file size.
I will be posting a survey tomorrow for you to submit feedback/bugs either before or shortly after the alpha build is live.
