Well, I recieved some feedback from some friends of mine, and I’ve decided to continue Alien Swarmz development, on to 1.5.0, and the final version of the Alien Swarmz 1x branch. I consider Alien Swarmz a much bigger improvement upon Bort the Block (although it still won’t do justice to my coding skills, the real projects I undertake I’m too lazy to finish), and, therefore, I believe it’s integral to do the game a bit of justice and give it a REAL update, before I move on to better things.
The only way I finish projects that have a respectable project dev time in them is by announcing them. You can be sure that at the moment this thing was posted the Alien Swarmz code has been quite intact. But I’m going to try and get 1.5.0 by September the 9th, 2009 (no promises), in time for Vetra Game’s birthday. It also happens to be a very important day that only happens once every 1000 years (9/09/09).
Things to expect for Alien Swarmz 1.5.0:
Online High Scores (Yay!).
Normal High Score System revamped (Yay to that too!).
Classic Mode (Alien Swarmz 1.0.0 and 1.0.2) and New Mode (Wait up on that one and see!).
A decent menu (finally), High Scores changed to 10 slots.
Typical bugfixes, etc.
Easter Eggs (lol).
You can expect the game on September the 9th, 2009, at around 8:00 PM Central Time.
