As I type this, I am on a new computer. Windows 10, better graphics, functional, all good stuff… except I don’t have the data from my old hard drive. This stupid piece of metal has decided that it doesn’t want any part of the inside of this new computer, so I am on a blank slate with none of my old software and none of my old projects… including the fuckin’ game.
Instead of crying, which I was and still am very tempted to do, I decided to look up solutions. I found that there are 2 things I could do: connect it externally and use software to figure out if it still works or take it to a professional… which I no longer have the money for since I bought a new computer.
For those of you that don’t know, hard drive recovery costs anywhere between a few hundred to over a thousand dollars. I no longer have money to use, however I do have a computer now, so that means I can at least attempt shit that will make me money. Anyways, I’ve found a kind of cheap cable that can connect a normal SATA HDD drive to a computer through USB, so that will be my number one way of testing to see if I need to send this thing in to a professional. In the meantime, I just wanted to update and let you guys know that I have a computer, but I have none of the data I need at the moment. In the meantime, I’m gonna get more of my shit together on this new machine… the shit that I can, anyways…
