Took an entire day to upload, screw my village internet :sob:
Cube’s Dark Hours 2 has always been a strange chapter in the CDH series. Released quickly after the first game (just three weeks and three days later, on September 5th, 2024), it introduced new characters, mechanics, and story beats. Yet it never fully came together. Some ideas felt underdeveloped, some characters didn’t quite land, and the game as a whole struggled to capture the energy and care of its predecessor.
Looking back, I realize CDH2 wasn’t made with the focus and passion it deserved. It exists, but it doesn’t fully live or breathe the way it could. That’s why a reboot is necessary. The goal isn’t to erase the original, but to rebuild it properly: refining mechanics, deepening characters, enriching the story, and ensuring every element feels intentional.
This reboot is a chance to give CDH2 the care it was missing. Players can expect polished gameplay, meaningful story progression, richer character development, and consistent lore. The reboot aims to create a true sequel that bridges CDH1, CDH: The Pricklz, and CDH3, restoring the series’ passion and delivering an experience that finally feels intentional, engaging, and complete.
