Wow, I never hit double digits on a minor patch before! Are we going too far?
The following update adjusts the writing of two "Inside" lore documents (No. 3 & No.4), following the realization that some of the information is so vaguely written, it just straight up steered players into the complete opposite conclusion I wanted. Not that I want to give the full answer on a silver platter either, but... perhaps there is such a thing as being too mysterious, to the point where you can't possibly expect the player to read your mind.
Also, I have removed the "Before You Read" text document. In hindsight, it feels a bit over-secure to directly tell the player how to manage their remaining time with the game, not to mention it sort of takes you out of the world and back into reality... I'll have to trust that players will be able to figure it out on their own. And if they're streamers, there's always the audience to help them out, right?
Speaking of streaming, I wanted to quickly point out that Ribbit's been getting a bunch of attention lately! Like, more than it ever got in the past. I've been doing my best to stay in touch with all the feedback, the compliments, some legit valuable criticisms, and of course, the weirdly irrational hatred. The yin, yang, and their third-wheel cousin named Carlton.
It's all gotten pretty overwhelming, and while I'm extremely grateful for it, I had to eventually tell myself I needed to take a step back... reading opinions on your work is like a drug, it wildly changes your mood depending on whether you're influenced positively or negatively. And at some point, you just gotta know when to stop, and start influencing yourself.
And this one giant-ass stretch of a metaphor brings me to the following:
Yes, we're working on another story update.
And no, it does not take drugs to make something like Ribbit.
Laughter is already its own natural version of a high.

A house I've built a while ago. :)
It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.
It's built with painted Ebonstone.
