Hello there!

This devlog is packed with pictures of the upcoming Island and should give you a great overview on what ive been working on!

First of all: A few teasers for new zones! I don't want to spoil too much but here are 2 new areas that can be found on the new island. If you don't want to spoil yourself (in the end this game is all about exploration) better scroll past this section ;)

Glow Stone Mine

The glow stone mine is where all the glowing ore is harvested that is used to power the lanterns in the world of RINSED. The Glowstone Mine is supposed to feel like a world under a world. It features its own little infrastructure (even though most of it is abandoned due to the flood). The Mines will feature many ores, maze-like corridors, and big treasures!

Blooming Forest

Most of these forest trees were chopped down by the midlandians to power their furnaces and smelters. Now, after the flood, the forest slowly but surely comes back to life!

More info about the new island and its key locations will be revealed in future devlogs!

The new (yet unnamed) Island will feature much colder weather conditions than the previous one. As I already revealed yesterday, snow will make an appearance!

Furthermore, the island's base temperature will be very cold so pack some warm clothes and don't get wet in the island's ponds and rivers!

In the upcoming weeks, the development will focus on getting as much work on the island done as I can. As soon as the key locations are finished, gameplay will be implemented. Stuff like changing the weather system and the sound manager to work differently on the new island will take some time. I can't promise anything but maybe a very early closed alpha test might happen before 2020 ends.
