Sankt Erik

You guys know me for my games, and I of course love making them for you guys, but I also want to introduce you to my true passion in life, which is filmmaking. I have this dream of creating a animation studio here in Sweden where we focus on making 3D animated musicals that are fun for all ages.

The latest idea I have been working on is a movie about Sankt Erik (Saint Eric).

Sankt Erik was one of Sweden's kings, his reign lasting between 1156 – 1160. He is known for his crusade into Finland, and according to legend he created the Swedish flag.

The reason why I want to make a movie about Sankt Erik is because of how he isn't very well known by the Swedish people, despite the fact that we see him on a daily basis. Sankt Erik's face is used as a symbol all over Sweden, without most of us noticing.

That's why I need to make this movie, to make his story known, while doing it in a fun lighthearted way.

Some of you may remember Sankt Erik from a animation on my YouTube channel. That animation was made for school and only shows a fragment of what I would want the final film to be like.

My design of Sankt Erik is meant to be a caricature of the classic Sankt Erik symbol, like the one used by Stockholms stad. I really am happy with how the model turned out!

I hope I get to make this movie sometime, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Thank you for your continued support!
