Second development toll! So sorry for the wait, I know I said the next one would be posted soon on my last post, but it took me a good while to get motivated to come here and write another huge post for yall lol.

So lets get to it!


Updates on the spritework.

As for the moment, all of the spritework needed for the scenario of Toriel's Church has been fully completed!
The scenario will be consisted of a variety of rooms that travel through the innards of Toriel's place of devotion, being a fully explorable scenario!
It will have quite a handful of things to interact, cutscenes you'll encounter, items you'll be able to gather, and even puzzles you will have to make to progress in the story!

One of my biggest intentions with these additions is adding another layer of flavor for the gameplay, so all of the focus on the game doesn't end up being put entirely on Papyrus' fight alone.

Updates on the sound design.

I'm not entirely sure if you guys have noticed yet, but since the first public appearence of this gamejolt page, 2 new members have been added to the music and sound design department of the game.
Muddock and Francis!

They will be taking care on expanding the full soundtrack for the game, and also working around on fully developing a unique style for the game's general audio look much like Bwomp was doing!

This also means that the OST has been expanded a tiny bit. There will now be 13 songs in total, with 6 of them already being finished.

Updates on the general writing and direction.

Now now, I've been writing a lot of stuff in this meantime, since I genuinely want the game to be as filled with content as possible, specially on a textual level. The game won't necessarily just have sufficient dialogue and simple descriptions, no, I'm really trying to portray some messages underlying the tiny bit of story I will be able to showcase here.

Lots of new concepts have been made, like concepts for mechanics, items and whatnot that I've been trying to more better perfect for the game, since my work here isn't just writing out stuff, but also conceptualizing as well.

Overall, stuff's going swell around here. More rework has been done for Papyrus' fight and overworld dialogue, and other writings regarding the encounter with other characters are been working on (Oh ho, wonder if you guys can guess what I'm talking about).

Updates on the coding.

The coding work is still going considerably slow since I'm still preferring to work with a singular coder. But, benlabno has been managing to generally take my direction well, and is slowly putting the Papyrus fight together.

Almost half of Papyrus' fight is done, and some things outside from it have also been worked on. And so far, I can safely say that he'll be able to perfectly work around his fight sometime until the end of the year.

Last thoughts.

Development is going alright, but we still have a LOOOONNNNG way before we're able to showcase anything considerably big. I have very, very big plans for this game, which means it will take a good while to be fully developed.

I really hope you guys can stick around for the time being, because not only me, but everyone in the team is putting their heart in the game.

I do can mention that my current goal for the moment is to get at least half of the Genocide route done by the end of the year, and if that happens, then I can be sure we well probably be able to finish up the game by next year.
I know, a lot of time, but it happens when you get such a small team where one guy is making half of the stuff lol.

For today, I don't really got much to showcase, but I can swear in the future more pictures of the game will be here for you guys to see.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
