Showman's: The Awakening

Official Announcement!

IT'S OFFICIAL, SAY GOODBYE TO THE WIGGLES.

While there isn't a whole lot to share, I figured it would be important to get a game page up and running so everyone can see teasers, devlogs, and all that good stuff on here rather than the old Phobia game's pages.

So, what is Showman's?

If you (somehow) haven't heard, I have made the big decision to move on from making these games include The Wiggles in them to have even more creative freedom, and more importantly, finally free myself from using The Wiggles in FNaF fangames for nearly nine years now, even if 95% of them were made in Little Big Planet 3 and were never public. Doing this has taken a surprisingly huge weight off my shoulders and I feel really, really good about this change, and I will say that loud and clear without hesitation.

If any of you really thought there was going to be a Wake Up Jeff minigame or a scene where they play Hot Potato onstage at some point, then you were in for serious disappointment because I didn't even want to do that with them in the games. The Wiggles were in Phobia just because they have been for a long time, and it all started because of me making a joke FNaF game in LBP3. This change should have happened years ago if you ask me.

"Showman's" is officially now the name of the series, rather than "Phobia". Showman is the name of the lead singer of the band, and you all know who he replaces.

The characters will stay similar to who they used to be however! Obviously, I wouldn't want to drop the weird and freaky looking puppet designs for these games. You'll very much recognize them, but they've all got more than just colored shirts this time. Expect to see some cool teasers of them in the near future!

The Awakening is getting a full remake, if that wasn't obvious enough at this point, but I don't plan on changing a whole lot. The biggest changes would be the environments, maybe small tweaks to the gameplay mechanics, and also the game will have the same narrative direction planned for Long Hours. I do like the story as is, but there may or may not be some minor tweaks to improve things.

As for Long Hours, I'm making yet another huge decision here, but I've decided against releasing the old version that includes The Wiggles in it, even after the new one releases. There wouldn't be any difference other than five characters looking different, a few sound effects, and that more than half of the entire game is missing. I know this might be disappointing, but at this point, I just really, really want to move forwards only, and I do hope you all understand that.

Once The Awakening's remake is finished and released, Long Hours will go through a big change process, including its current game page. If this goes better than expected, Long Hours may not take too long to get right back on track from where I left off!

So, while there has been a ton of delays and changes this year, I can assure you that there's still a lot of great things to come in the future! I hope you guys end up liking the new characters as much as I do when they start popping up, because I've taken a lot of time trying to make myself happy with each and every one of them, and as of right now, I love all of them!

Stay tuned for more!

I've been very busy lately! Things are going relatively smoothly, and there's definitely some things I still need to try fixing up, but other than that we've hit a HUGE milestone in the game's development!

Of course, there's still so much left to do!

I think it's safe to say that the Blender game engine version of Showman's: The Awakening is saved!

"I can't wait for the party! Are you excited too?"

totally legit lore i promise (im lying)

I'll explain later. Have this.

I got inspired by phobia long hours and drew the wiggles robots as glamrock robots, I hope you guys like these designs

"The tests we did a long time ago weren't like this..."

While nothing super exciting, the UI has been given a much-needed upgrade!

Very happy with the results!

Algo mas complejo.

Something more complex.

You know what putting the game on hold is actually going to be the best thing to happen to it, I think.

LOOK AT THIS TEST RENDER I MADE IN BLENDER 4.1!
