Hey folks,
If you've been looking at the GameJolt page for Shrouded, you'll have probably noticed a few new images. As mentioned in the previous devlog, the game has been upscaled to HD resolutions - and with new graphics to boot!
Each character has received new sprite work to match the new environment assets I've been working on. Thanks to Aldana Loureyro for helping out big-time with those. I think you'll agree the level of detail is a far-cry from the previous 'standard-definition' assets.

You'll also see some new artwork for the characters in the screenshot section too, courtesy of our ever-talented Moua Yang. In fact, there might even be a few characters that you haven't seen previously. But more on them will come later...
On the gameplay front, we've greatly enhanced the enemy AI. Rather than randomly popping up and instantly pursuing the player, the 'Crimson' will now actively patrol an area - meaning Carmen and Charlie will need to stay out of sight. Of course, making loud noises while nearby will alert the Crimson to your presence, so caution must be taken.
Lastly, we've temporarily removed the existing demo for the game from GameJolt. With the new visuals and gameplay tweaks, we feel that a new demo would be more reflective of the final game. That will come in the near future, if all goes well.
More to follow, as always!
Stay savage,
Crimson
